When first time cellphone was developed in 1973, it was same as the size of a briefcase. But now we have thousands of models, very slim yet powerful. Here is an infograph showing the landmarks of evolution of mobile phones and how their functionality has changed from 1973 to 2011.

• 1997 - Siemens S10 - First color-screen mobile phone.
• 1998 - Nokia 8810 - First mobile without external antenna.
• 1999 - Samsung SPH-M100 - MP3 music capable.
• 1999 - Nokia 7110 - First mobile with WAP browser.
• 2001 - Ericsson T39 - First Bluetooth capable phone.
• 2010 - LG Optimus 2X - First mobile using a dual-core processor.
• 2011 - HTC EVO 4G - World's fist 4G mobile phone.
