Amar Chitra Katha (ACK), India's most famous and largest comics publisher, in collaboration with Microsoft has published its Windows app for tablets and notebooks. Android apps were already there in Google Play Store.
The app is free and as a special introductory offer, five comic books will be available also for free download in the first month. These are :- Shakuntala, Birbal the Wise, Tirupati, Tenzing Norgay and Anant Pai. Also there will be three more comic titles, again available free of cost in coming month.
The publication has played an important part in the childhoods of millions of readers in India throughout the 1980s and '90s. They have published more than 200 comics in over 20 languages on Indian mythology, history, literature and culture.
Now a days, you may or may not be reading all these titles again, but with its online presence, it is a great way to introduce your growing kids to some of the iconic original comic art and graphic novels. With the app you can instantly browse, buy, download, and read all of old favorites as well as the latest titles from Amar Chitra Katha.
The app is available for free to download from Microsoft Store.
