Sandeep - Founder of TechVigil

Welcome to TechVigil!

Hi, I'm Sandeep, and I founded this technology blog in March 2010 during my second year as an engineering student. Hailing from India, I am the Founder and Software Architect behind TechVigil, a platform dedicated to uncovering the lesser-known tips and tricks for gadgets, issuing important tech alerts, exploring electronics fundamentals, and sharing deep dives into system architecture, distributed systems, and DevOps.

About Me

I hold an engineering degree in Electronics and have had the privilege of publishing research on One Dimensional GaN Nanowire FETs in the Journal of Electron Devices (Vol. 11, 2011, pp. 551–553). My academic foundation in semiconductor physics and passion for technology have been the cornerstone of TechVigil's mission to provide insightful and practical engineering content.

The Operational State Control Plane

The Missing Architectural Layer for Customer-Facing Application Operations

“There is a moment in every widespread outage that engineering leaders recognize all too well - not the moment the alert fires, not the moment the war room fills, but the moment when someone asks: ‘What are we showing customers right now?’

When critical infrastructure degrades, customer-facing applications continue blindly routing users into broken flows because modern architectures lack a dedicated layer for runtime coordination. This book introduces the Operational State Control Plane (OSCP) - formalizing the contracts, distribution mechanics, and zero-network resilience required to govern multi-surface application behavior during active incidents. A practical blueprint for platform architects, principal engineers, and SRE leaders running distributed production estates.

Professional Background

My professional journey spans complex distributed architectures, mission-critical systems, and scalable enterprise platforms. Early in my career, I worked as an SAP-APO consultant in the supply chain domain for Nike, managing complex systems and navigating the intricate dynamics of global supply chains. Later, I was part of the engineering team at NeuroTags, developing AI-driven anti-counterfeit solutions backed by patent-pending algorithms.

Currently, I work with a US category leader in home service and warranty plans, managing high-scale, reliable systems and operational platforms. This direct, hands-on experience navigating large-scale production environments and incident response heavily informs my architectural writing and deep dives on distributed systems resilience.

Acknowledgements

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of my brother, Shailendra. His assistance and encouragement were instrumental in bringing TechVigil to life, and I am incredibly grateful for his contributions.
