Which One is Better, Aakash or a Classpad Tablet?

After Aakash, Indian tablet market has a boom of other similar tablets with low price range. The manufacturer of Aakash has already announced its commercial version named as Ubislate 7. They have even started online pre-booking of these tablets.

Today, Rohit Pande, CEO of Classteacher Learning Systems, has launched another cheap tablet for students called Classpad. The tablet will be available for outsiders in early part of 2012. Rohit said that he is just trying to make education accessible to each student according to one's own merit and intellect. Rohit is a graduate of IIT, Delhi and PG from IIM, Calcutta.

There will be three models of Classpad tablet which are named as Classpad 7, Classpad 8 and Classpad 10. It is understood that the hike in price will be compensated by better configuration. But one thing that specialize Classpad is its Artificial Intelligence. With this feature the tablet would be able to categorize students according to their intelligence level and thus serve accordingly.

"The software installed in Classpad tests students' problem solving, creativity and application of language skills. It provides them with personalized teaching as per their learning capabilities. Equipped with artificial intelligence, Classpad can help to categorize students as fast learners, average learners and slow learners," said Mr. Rohit at the launch of Classpad.

Classpad will come pre-loaded with NCERT syllabus of class 3 to 12. This will help students as well as teachers to go through their syllabus according to their own routine.

Both tablets are based on Android OS, but the Classpad is much more powerful than the Aakash. It provides a much higher battery runtime but lacks in additional storage support. So going for Aakash or Classpad totally depends on your pocket.

If you are not in hurry to buy a new tablet for your kid or yourself, I would advice to wait for sometime. Many other brands are planning to launch similar tablets to compete in market. We should take advantage of their race.
